The World Manufacturing Convention (WMC) is co-hosted by the People's Government of Anhui Province, the National Advisory Committee on Manufacturing Powerhouse Strategy, the China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, and the Global SME Alliance. Themed "Smart Manufacturing for the World, Creating a Better Future," the convention will feature an opening ceremony with keynote speeches, supply-demand matchmaking for key industrial and supply chains, centralized signing of major projects, authoritative releases, and achievement exhibitions.

This edition of the WMC (WMC) will invite distinguished guests including foreign dignitaries and government officials, leaders from relevant national ministries and provincial/regional governments, representatives of international organizations and business associations, heads of leading domestic and international manufacturing enterprises, academicians, and experts. Focusing on themes such as advancing smart manufacturing, promoting manufacturing cooperation and exchange, and artificial intelligence, the convention will delve into cutting-edge technologies and the latest trends in industrial development, jointly exploring pathways to advance new industrialization and develop new quality productive forces.

The convention's event framework follows a "4-6-15" structure, comprising 4 major events, 6 project matchmaking activities, and 15 specialized events. High-level planning will be dedicated to major events such as the opening ceremony with keynote speeches and exhibition tours. Representatives from central state-owned enterprises, foreign enterprises, enterprises from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, overseas Chinese enterprises, and private enterprises will be invited to gather in Anhui. Activities will include symposiums on cooperative development between Anhui Province and central enterprises, matchmaking meetings for Anhui's emerging industries and multinational corporations, manufacturing cooperation and exchange matchmaking between Anhui, Hong Kong, and Macao, promotion meetings for advantageous industrial cooperation between Anhui and Taiwan, overseas Chinese innovation project matchmaking & Chaohu Overseas Chinese Innovation Conference, and cooperative exchange matchmaking for private manufacturing enterprises in China. Leveraging the convention's supply-demand matchmaking platform, it aims to use the event as a medium to gather wisdom and attract investment.

With its permanent venue established in Hefei, the World Manufacturing Convention has significantly driven the quality improvement, scale expansion, and efficiency enhancement of Anhui's manufacturing sector, contributing to the construction of a manufacturing powerhouse and enabling the world to share more opportunities in Chinese manufacturing.
