Qingdao East Asia Marine Expo Profile
The Qingdao East Asia Marine Expo (EAST ASIA MARINE EXPO) is a landmark project implementing the Belt and Road Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping. It serves as an innovative platform advocated by Premier Li Keqiang, primarily focused on two-way open cooperation between ASEAN and China, Japan, and South Korea.
Since the official launch of the platform construction in 2016, it has achieved a series of significant accomplishments, garnering widespread acclaim and positive feedback across East Asia and the international community. To deepen the construction of the East Asia Marine Cooperation Platform, the Qingdao Forum for East Asia Marine Cooperation, themed "Exchange and Mutual Learning, Openness and Integration," will focus on the main thread of "ports, trade, shipping, and finance." It will comprehensively showcase new ideas, achievements, and approaches in East Asian marine development and cooperation. The overall structure comprises seven segments under the "1+5+1" framework: one main forum, five sub-forums, and the East Asia Marine Expo.
As a key component of the forum, it is guided by the Management Committee of Qingdao West Coast New Area and the Qingdao Ocean Development Bureau, and co-hosted by Qingdao Huangdao Development (Group) Co., Ltd. and Zhenwei Exhibition Group.
The Qingdao East Asia Marine Expo (EAST ASIA MARINE EXPO) covers an exhibition area of 60,000 square meters. It features six major zones: International Zone, Qingdao Zone, Marine Intelligent Manufacturing Zone, Major Marine Equipment Zone, Marine Finance & Trade Zone, and Marine Port & Shipping Zone. Exhibits span marine engineering equipment, marine information technology, marine new energy, marine new materials, marine biotechnology, finance, trade, and shipping.
The Qingdao East Asia Marine Expo (EAST ASIA MARINE EXPO) will gather the aquatic product industry chains from major fishery provinces and cities, striving to build a professional, efficient, and international fishery exchange platform to facilitate the aquatic consumer market. Exhibits cover marine fishing, processing, transportation, fishing vessels & gear, aquaculture technology, feed, and more. Through an "Exhibition + Conference" open model, it will introduce diversified business value to participating enterprises.
