China Hi-Tech Fair – National Strategic Equipment and Tech Giant Industry Chain Exhibition

The China Hi-Tech Fair – National Strategic Equipment and Tech Giant Industry Chain Exhibition (CHTF) features five inaugural exhibition zones: National Strategic Equipment, Tech Giant Industry Chain, Specialized, Refined, Distinctive & Innovative Enterprises and New‑Type Productivity, Innovation & Entrepreneurship along with Financial Services, and Industry–Education Integration. This year’s fair brings together exhibition delegations from numerous provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions—including Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangdong, Jiangxi, Hubei, Heilongjiang—alongside more than a hundred research institutes and universities such as the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University, and Peking University. The total number of participating delegations exceeds 200, marking a record high.

Alongside the Canton Fair and the China International Import Expo, the China Hi-Tech Fair ranks among China’s three major national-level expos. With a strategic positioning that addresses the global frontier of science and technology, the main economic frontlines, critical national needs, and public health concerns, it contributes Chinese wisdom to advancing global scientific and technological innovation. Approved by the State Council in 1999, the fair has become an integral component of China’s drive to become a science and technology powerhouse. Serving as a window for opening up China’s high‑tech sector to the world and as a bridge for the exchange and commercialization of cutting‑edge technological achievements, it enjoys close attention from national leaders.

As a vanguard of China’s reform and opening-up process, Guangdong has long regarded technological innovation as a key engine of economic development. The province actively collaborates with leading research institutions, including the Chinese Academy of Sciences, resulting in the successful implementation of numerous advanced technologies within its borders. As a “veteran” exhibitor at the China Hi-Tech Fair, this year the Chinese Academy of Sciences showcases over 270 innovative breakthroughs achieved under its “Leading Action” initiative, the 14th Five-Year Plan, and the construction of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area International Science and Technology Innovation Center. These innovations span advanced manufacturing, next‑generation information technology, high‑end equipment and intelligent manufacturing, biomedicine, and other fields.

China Hi-Tech Fair – National Strategic Equipment and Tech Giant Industry Chain Exhibition tickets are e-tickets. Mainland China visitors must complete online pre-registration with real-name ID verification; overseas visitors must use passport verification; Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan visitors must use their travel permit.
