WF Shanghai (Wonder Festival)

WF Shanghai (Wonder Festival, abbreviated as WF) is the largest and most professional figure and model exhibition in China. "Wonder Festival" is the "world's largest modeling and model exhibition" hosted by Kaiyodo Co., Ltd., a veteran Japanese model manufacturer headquartered in Kadoma, Osaka. When the exhibition was first established in 1984, it was organized by "GENERAL PRODUCTS," Japan's first SF shop and a renowned Osaka store alongside Kaiyodo (this shop later transformed into the animation production company "GAINAX," which created the socially phenomenal hit TV anime Neon Genesis Evangelion in 1995). In 2018, WF Shanghai successfully hosted the first Wonder Festival outside Japan—Wonder Festival 2018 Shanghai [PreStage]. The official mascot for WF Shanghai was once again personally illustrated by manga artist Kosuke Fujishima. For this design, Mr. Fujishima incorporated elements from the Dragon Boat Festival: sachets and five-color threads. This allowed Wonda-chan and Reset-chan to accompany visitors during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday for a unique [WF Shanghai] experience.

Stepping out of Japan and landing in China, WF Shanghai brings more surprises and a broader communication platform to all domestic figure industry professionals and enthusiasts.
