These efforts earned widespread acclaim from vegetarian enthusiasts and visitors alike, helping to set a new trend for vegetarian dining in the capital.
At the Beijing Vegetarian Industry Exhibition—part of the Beijing Vegetarian Culture Festival, exhibitors showcased their distinctive, healthy, and delicious vegetarian products on-site, promoting a vegetarian culture and philosophy centered on environmental sustainability, health and wellness, and compassion. These initiatives were warmly received and highly appreciated by attendees.

Review
The 8th Beijing Vegetarian Culture Festival 2025 was successfully held from November 14 to 17, 2025, at the China International Exhibition Center (Chaoyang Hall) in Beijing. This edition of the event was co-organized by Beijing Huagang Exhibition Co., Ltd. and Beijing Zhongsheng Boya International Exhibition Co., Ltd., taking place concurrently with the 9th China (Beijing) International Buddhist Supplies Expo at the same venue, making it the annual highlight of the vegetarian industry in Northern China.
In terms of scale, this year’s festival brought together over 600 exhibiting companies from across the country, spanning an exhibition area exceeding 20,000 square meters, and attracting more than 50,000 professional visitors and vegetarian enthusiasts. Exhibits covered the entire value chain, including vegetarian raw materials, processed vegetarian foods, organic agricultural products, plant-based foods, franchise opportunities for vegetarian restaurant chains, and vegan daily-use items. During the event, participating vegetarian restaurants not only offered daily offerings to the “Monk’s Meal Area” but also organized a variety of promotional activities—such as vegetarian tastings, sales of vegetarian fast food and snacks, and special discount cards—earning widespread acclaim from attendees.
This year’s festival featured numerous highlights, with the dissemination of vegetarian culture and its integration with industry emerging as central attractions. Through diverse formats—including dedicated vegetarian cultural zones, vegetarian wellness forums, cooking demonstrations, and product tastings—the event promoted the principles of environmental sustainability, health and wellness, and compassion inherent in vegetarianism. Vegetarian lifestyles are increasingly popular among white-collar professionals and businesspeople, and vegetarian culture is permeating everyday life at an unprecedented pace. The fair provided an excellent platform for both vegetarian enterprises and consumers: exhibitors leveraged the event to enhance brand visibility and showcase their products, while attendees had the opportunity to connect with reputable brands and select healthy vegetarian options that align with their preferences.
A rich array of concurrent events created a high‑end forum for industry exchange and intellectual dialogue. During the festival, a series of vegetarian forums were held, delving into topical issues such as heart‑healthy vegetarian diets, nutritional aspects of vegetarian recipes, medicinal vegetarian formulations, beauty and weight‑loss applications of vegetarian cuisine, and updates on vegetarian nutrition. Complemented by themed activities—including tea‑culture performances, displays of Han‑style ceremonial attire, and immersive wellness experiences—attendees gained firsthand insight into the unique charm of vegetarian culture. Additionally, a dedicated vegetarian cooking demonstration zone showcased master chefs’ techniques, drawing large crowds eager to learn.
The professional visitor base was robust, yielding significant conversion rates. The event attracted operators of vegetarian restaurants, distributors of health foods, procurement managers from wellness institutions, vegetarian enthusiasts, and consumers seeking healthier lifestyles from across the country. Exhibiting companies generally reported high‑quality professional audiences with clear purchasing intentions, resulting in effective on‑site business matchmaking. The festival successfully set new trends in Beijing’s vegetarian sector, providing a vital platform for leading players in the industry to showcase their innovations.
Outcomes and industry reception were overwhelmingly positive. Attendees viewed the Beijing Vegetarian Culture Festival not only as a premier platform for brand exposure and commercial collaboration but also as a pivotal hub for understanding emerging trends in China’s vegetarian industry and exploring pathways toward health, wellness, and sustainable development. By promoting vegetarian culture, the event helped guide industry standards and foster a vision of vegetarianism rooted in health, purity, and compassion, ensuring that vegetarianism transcends niche status and becomes accessible to a broader audience, ultimately contributing to holistic well‑being.
