GuiyangBig Data Expo—The China International Big Data Industry Expo (BIG DATA EXPO) is the world’s first national-level exhibition dedicated to big data.Co-hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Cyberspace Administration of China, and the People’s Government of Guizhou Province, it has grown into an internationally renowned event that fosters collaboration and drives industry advancement, serving as a global platform for joint deliberation on development strategies and the sharing of cutting-edge achievements. The Expo is committed to analyzing trends in big data development, addressing key industry challenges and pain points, and thoughtfully curating each edition’s themes and topics, thereby offering a comprehensive overview of the rapid evolution of the global big data sector.

GuiyangBig Data Expo (BIG DATA EXPO) will focus on emerging big data applications in the 5G era, delving deeply into the development trends of artificial intelligence, the industrial internet, blockchain, and other burgeoning big data sectors. With an emphasis on innovation, integration, and openness, the Expo aims to create a win-win environment, centering on the latest technological breakthroughs and accomplishments in big data. It will host high-level dialogues, a series of forums, competitions, exhibitions, and other engaging activities, providing a premier international stage for high-tech enterprises to collaborate, exchange ideas, promote their offerings, and showcase their innovations, thus unlocking boundless business opportunities and potential for big data development.

The digital economy and data‑element exhibition is one of the core components of theBig Data Expo, featuring six thematic pavilions with a total exhibition area of approximately 60,000 square meters. Organized around six specialized sections—international integration, cutting-edge technologies, data resources, “data elements,” data security, and infrastructure—the Expo will highlight new technologies, products, solutions, and real-world applications in the big data field. In addition, during the event, companies will have opportunities to independently unveil their innovations, providing platforms for brand promotion and product showcasing.

Dialogue sessions will address critical topics such as data governance and policy frameworks, data technologies and industry ecosystems, data resource management and circulation, data‑driven innovation, data security and privacy protection, infrastructure and computing power allocation, as well as international cooperation and exchanges. Renowned domestic and international experts from government, business, academia, research institutions, and the media are invited to participate in lively discussions and interactive exchanges.

Throughout its history, theExpo has consistently received attention and guidance from national leaders. General Secretary Xi Jinping has sent congratulatory letters to the inaugural edition and to the last two iterations. Premier Li Keqiang, Vice Premier Ma Kai, and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Wang Chen have all attended the opening ceremonies of the first five editions, delivering remarks at the events.
