- The Shanghai International Composites Exhibition (CCE) is the largest and most influential specialized composites trade show in the Asia-Pacific region. Since its inception in 1995, it has been successfully held 28 times and is widely regarded as a barometer for the global composites industry’s development. On the first day of the 2025 exhibition, there were 1,445 international visitors, with steady growth observed among professionals from South Korea, India, Russia, Japan, Malaysia, and other countries. During the event, the China–South Korea Joint Association for the Development of the Composites Industry signed an MOU with participating enterprises, drawing over 80 professionals from both nations and offering exhibitors a strategic gateway to expand into overseas markets and access international resources.

The 28th China International Composites Industry Technology Exhibition was successfully held from September 16 to 18, 2025, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). This edition of the exhibition was themed “Sustainable Development and Intelligent Manufacturing,” co-hosted by China National Materials Group Corporation and China Composites Group Co., Ltd., and has become the annual highlight event for the composites industry in the Asia-Pacific region.
In terms of scale, the exhibition covered an area of 71,000 square meters, bringing together 852 exhibiting companies from 17 countries and regions worldwide, with a total attendance exceeding 22,000 professional visitors. On the first day alone, 21,823 visitors entered the venue, including 1,445 international attendees, underscoring the event’s high level of internationalization and strong industry appeal. Exhibitors spanned the entire value chain, including carbon fiber, glass fiber, resins, additives, machinery, and testing services.
This year’s exhibition featured numerous highlights, with the Innovation Product Awards drawing significant attention. The 21st “CCE-JEC” Innovation Product Awards attracted 70 entries submitted by 63 exhibitors. Following rigorous evaluation by domestic and international experts, 13 innovative products were selected as winners and presented on stage. These award-winning products spanned three major categories—raw materials, applications, and process & technology equipment—highlighting the latest breakthroughs in the composites industry.
A rich array of concurrent events created a premier platform for industry dialogue. During the exhibition, the 9th High-Level Forum on “Innovative Applications and Development of Carbon Fiber and Advanced Composites” was held, where Dr. Liu Weiping from COMAC delivered a presentation titled “High-Performance Manufacturing of Composite Components for Commercial Aircraft,” while Mr. Wang Chunsheng from CRRC Changchun discussed pathways toward lightweight rail transit systems. Concurrently, a special forum on “Innovative Applications of Bio-Based Composites” focused on recent R&D advances and industrialization challenges in this field. More than 20 specialized technical seminars addressed every segment of the value chain, providing attendees with invaluable insights.
China–South Korea cooperation reached a new milestone. An MOU signing ceremony between the China–South Korea Joint Association for the Development of the Composites Industry and participating enterprises was held during the exhibition, attracting over 80 professionals from both countries. The agreement focuses on long-term collaboration in R&D, market expansion, and resource sharing, marking a new phase in bilateral corporate partnerships across these domains.
A dedicated pavilion showcasing glass fiber industrial fabrics made a collective appearance. Led by the China Glass Fiber Industry Association, a special pavilion comprising nine leading industry players showcased innovative glass fiber products and related solutions in Hall 5, featuring multi-axial fabrics, high-silica glass fiber products, glass fiber sleeves, and more. The exhibit drew large numbers of domestic and international professionals eager to explore these cutting-edge offerings.
Exhibiting companies reaped substantial benefits, with the event receiving widespread acclaim. Zhongyi Technology exhibited core equipment such as defoaming mixers and three-roll mills, with its multilingual technical team adeptly engaging global clients. Several overseas customers traveled specifically to discuss customized solutions. Attendees generally agreed that CCE is not only an excellent platform for brand exposure and business matchmaking but also a critical hub for identifying industry trends and exploring pathways toward green, intelligent transformation.
The 29th China International Composites Industry Technology Exhibition will take place from September 14 to 16, 2026, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). The event is expected to continue serving as an efficient platform for global exchange and collaboration within the composites industry.
