The 28th China International Composites Industry Technology Exhibition 2025 was successfully held from September 16 to 18, 2025, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). This year’s event was themed “Sustainable Development and Intelligent Manufacturing,” co-hosted by China National Materials Group Corporation and China Composites Group Co., Ltd., and has become the annual highlight of the composites industry in the Asia-Pacific region.
In terms of scale, the exhibition covered an area of 71,000 square meters, bringing together 852 exhibiting companies from 17 countries and regions worldwide, with a total of over 22,000 professional visitors. On the first day alone, attendance reached 21,823, including 1,445 international visitors, underscoring the event’s high degree of internationalization and strong industry appeal. Exhibitors spanned the entire value chain, including carbon fiber, glass fiber, resins, additives, machinery, and testing services.
This edition featured numerous highlights, with the Innovation Product Awards drawing widespread attention. The 21st “CCE-JEC” Innovation Product Awards received 70 entries from 63 exhibitors. Following rigorous evaluation by a panel of domestic and international experts, 13 innovative products were selected and honored on stage. These award-winning solutions spanned three major categories—raw materials, applications, and process & technology equipment—highlighting the latest breakthroughs in the composites industry.
A rich array of concurrent events created a premier platform for industry dialogue. During the exhibition, the 9th High-Level Forum on “Innovative Applications and Development of Carbon Fiber and Advanced Composites” was held, where Dr. Liu Weiping of COMAC presented a report titled “High-Performance Manufacturing of Composite Components for Commercial Aircraft,” while Mr. Wang Chunsheng of CRRC Changchun discussed pathways toward lightweight rail transit systems. A parallel Special Forum on “Innovative Applications of Bio-Based Composites” focused on R&D advances and industrialization challenges in this emerging field. More than 20 specialized technical seminars addressed every segment of the value chain, providing attendees with invaluable insights.
China–South Korea cooperation reached a new milestone. An MOU signing ceremony between the China–South Korea Association for Joint Industrial Development in Composites and participating enterprises was held on the sidelines of the exhibition, attracting over 80 professionals from both countries. The agreement underscores long-term collaboration between Chinese and Korean firms in areas such as technological R&D, market expansion, and resource sharing, marking a new phase in bilateral industrial partnerships.
A dedicated pavilion showcasing glass fiber industrial fabrics made a striking debut. Led by the China Glass Fiber Industry Association, a special pavilion comprising nine leading industry players showcased cutting-edge innovations in glass fiber and related products, including multi-axial fabrics, high-silica glass fiber items, and glass fiber sleeves, successfully drawing large numbers of domestic and international professionals to stop and explore.
Exhibiting companies reaped substantial benefits, with the event receiving high praise for its outcomes. Zhongyi Technology exhibited core equipment such as defoaming mixers and three-roll mills, with its technical team leveraging multilingual capabilities to engage global clients effectively. Several overseas customers traveled specifically to discuss customized solutions. Attendees generally agreed that CCE not only serves as an excellent platform for brand exposure and business matchmaking but also as a critical hub for identifying industry trends and exploring pathways toward green, intelligent transformation.
The 29th China International Composites Industry Technology Exhibition is scheduled to take place from September 14 to 16, 2026, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).
