The 26th China (Ningbo) International Machine Tool & Equipment Exhibition (ChinaMach 2025) was successfully held from March 12 to 15 at the Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center. Hosted by Ningbo Yazhuo Exhibition Service Co., Ltd., the event was themed “Smart Manufacturing Empowering Industrial Upgrading” and stood as the most significant annual trade show for the machine tool and equipment industry in East China.

In terms of exhibition scale, this edition covered a total exhibition area of 40,000 square meters, encompassing two specialized exhibitions: ChinaMach Ningbo International Machine Tool & Equipment Exhibition and PTE Ningbo Power Transmission Technology & Equipment Exhibition. The show welcomed over 500 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions, including China, Japan, South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Spain, Singapore, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Poland. Exhibits included metalworking and forming machine tools, sheet metal processing and welding/laser machining equipment, electrical discharge machining and wire-cutting machines, robots, intelligent manufacturing systems, industrial automation solutions, machine tool accessories, and factory equipment for manufacturing. A total of 33,177 professional visitors attended, up 14.2% compared with the previous edition, with 22,862 registered professionals hailing from 32 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions, as well as eight countries across Europe, Asia, and Africa. Delegations visiting the show included the Jiaxing Mould Industry Association, the Cixi Mould Industry Association, the Ningbo IoT Intelligent Technology Application Association, and the Yueqing Automation Association, among others.

The exhibitor lineup showcased leading‑edge and international characteristics. In the machine tool segment, renowned international brands such as Mazak, Tsurumi, Citizen, Doosan, YG Cutting Tools from Japan; Siemens from Germany; INNSE from Italy; Micromaitic from India; Hammer from the UK; and SHANGYIN and EGMA from Taiwan were represented. Domestic standouts included Shenyang Machine Tool, Baoji Machine Tool, Haitian Precision, Yunnan Machine Tool, Xi’an Julang, Zhuopu Intelligence, Shandong Weida, Yangsen, Jinri Standard, Taiqun, Jiangnan CNC, Gaoqi, Jiamengzi, Guangzhou Machine Tool Factory, Nanjing Siji, Jiecheng, Hexin, Yonggao, Juxing, Zhiheng, Yuyang, Oumilong, Xinchuan CNC, Minghe CNC, Jia’ou CNC, Lianggu, Chenlong Sawing Machines, Yangli, Rui Tie, and others. In the smart manufacturing and automation sector, leading companies like OTC, Panasonic, Kawasaki, Elbide, and Effort presented their latest smart manufacturing solutions. Meanwhile, in the power transmission field, Chinese–Italian Hydraulics, Sono Control, Songqiao Pneumatics, HuaYe Machinery, Hanshang Hydraulics, Xingyu Electronics, Chuangli Hydraulics, Maosheng Pneumatics, and other enterprises showcased high‑precision, highly reliable power transmission technologies.

Exhibit highlights abounded, focusing on industrial applications. Keeping pace with global trends toward digitalization and intelligence in manufacturing, the exhibition featured seven major thematic zones—machine tool equipment, mold technology and equipment, smart manufacturing and automation, laser sheet metal processing, power transmission, metal cutting tools and machine tool accessories, and factory equipment for manufacturing—centered around core themes such as “efficient machining,” “smart manufacturing,” and “industrial application.” In the new energy vehicle component machining category, brands like Yamazaki Mazak, Doosan Machine Tools from South Korea, and Tsurumi from Japan unveiled high‑efficiency machining centers and turn‑mill composite machines tailored specifically for the new energy sector. In the mold manufacturing zone, Oumilong, Ruijun, Zhonggu, and other companies introduced state‑of‑the‑art spark erosion machines and wire EDM machines. In the mechanical processing section, Shenyang Machine Tool, Shandong Weida, and others showcased large gantry machining centers and horizontal machining centers—high‑end equipment designed for demanding applications. In the power transmission zone, Chinese–Italian Hydraulics, Sono Control, Songqiao Hydraulics, and other firms exhibited comprehensive hydraulic and pneumatic product lines, providing tailored solutions for construction machinery, agricultural equipment, mining machinery, new energy vehicles, automotive components, machine tool equipment, and industrial automation systems.

A rich array of concurrent events. Throughout the exhibition, numerous high‑level forums and supply‑demand matchmaking activities were organized, including HiTalks 2025 | PTE High‑End Machine Tool Hydraulic Innovation Forum, the “Internal–External Synergy for High‑Quality Development” Summit, and the Supply‑Demand Express – International Procurement Fair. These events brought together industry experts, corporate executives, and technology leaders to engage in in-depth discussions on cutting‑edge technological trends, evolving market demands, and pathways for advancing smart manufacturing.

An international outlook and overseas outreach. This year’s exhibition intensified its international promotion efforts, inviting more than a hundred overseas buyers from Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, North Africa, and other regions to attend and negotiate, thereby helping domestic enterprises expand into global markets.

Strong responses from exhibitors and the industry. According to the exhibition organizing committee, this edition leveraged real‑world industrial use cases to deliver practical solutions and facilitate connections between manufacturers of industrial mother machines and related suppliers. Exhibiting companies generally reported that the quality of professional buyers was exceptionally high, with clear purchasing intentions, while Ningbo’s strategic location as a major manufacturing hub in the Yangtze River Delta provided robust industrial support. Attendees agreed that ChinaMach, as the most influential specialized machine tool and equipment exhibition in East China, has become a strategic platform for companies to showcase products, connect with customers, gain insights into emerging trends, and expand their presence in the Yangtze River Delta market.
