China Dairy Industry Conference – China Dairy ExpoProfile

The China Dairy Industry Conference–China Dairy Expo (DAC), organized and independently hosted by the China Dairy Industry Association, is a large-scale exhibition. As a national-level industry event, it stands as the largest, most influential, and most cohesive gathering in China’s dairy sector. In terms of the number of professional visitors, the quantity and caliber of exhibiting companies, as well as the scale and quality of the displays, the show has reached unprecedented levels—its success is truly historic and sets the benchmark for dairy industry exhibitions.

At the China Dairy Industry Conference–China Dairy Expo (DAC), leading dairy-producing countries such as the United States, New Zealand, Australia, the Netherlands, Canada, and Spain participate through national pavilions, bringing an international participation rate of up to 60%—comprising exclusively overseas and foreign‑related enterprises that have long maintained operations in China. Exhibitors and attendees span every segment of the entire dairy value chain, and the event also welcomes representatives from large and medium-sized dairy farms nationwide, with invited farms collectively housing over 2.4 million head of cattle. During the exhibition, the China Dairy Summit and 16 high‑level technical forums will be held, and Xinhuanet will provide comprehensive coverage of the conference.

Notable exhibitors include prominent domestic and international dairy companies and upstream/downstream players, such as U.S.-based Alice Corporation, Germany’s SnowKing Machinery, the Netherlands’ Hello Group, Italy’s Stadter Equipment, France’s Anlefu Group, as well as San Yuan, Bright Dairy, Yili, Junlebao, Wandashan, Feihe, and others.

The Exhibition Value of China Dairy Expo D

  • The China Dairy Congress (DAC) is the largest, most specialized, and most influential national industry event in China’s dairy sector. Hosted by the China Dairy Industry Association, it has been independently organized since 2015 and has successfully held more than ten consecutive editions. Widely recognized within the industry as Asia’s premier and the world’s second-largest dairy summit—second only to the World Dairy Expo in the United States—it serves as a leading indicator of high-quality development in China’s dairy industry and a central hub for connecting global dairy value chains.  The 16th edition in 2025 will be held in Xiamen, featuring an exhibition space of 100,000 square meters, bringing together over 500 exhibiting companies, attracting more than 60,000 professional visitors, and drawing six vice-ministerial-level leaders, two academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and over 1,300 corporate executives—a scale unprecedented in the industry.
  • The core value of participation lies in its unparalleled ability to cover the entire dairy value chain and the authoritative endorsement provided by a national-level platform. The expo encompasses every segment of the dairy supply chain, including dairy cattle breeding, forage and feed, health and nutrition, equipment and machinery, pasture construction, packaging and processing equipment, dairy product manufacturing, logistics and transportation, premium dairy products, and comprehensive dairy services—creating a complete industrial ecosystem that spans from cultivation and animal husbandry through processing to end-consumer markets. Among the exhibitors, leading enterprises such as Yili, Mengniu, Bright Dairy, Junlebao, Feihe, and Wandashan are all present, alongside benchmark farms like Youran Pastoral and Modern Dairy, as well as national pavilions from major dairy-producing countries including the United States, the Netherlands, New Zealand, and Australia, resulting in an international participation rate exceeding 60%.
  • The expo aligns with three major industry trends—technological innovation, digital empowerment, and industrial integration—establishing a cutting-edge technological platform deeply integrating research, education, industry, and application. At the 2025 edition, key documents such as the “China Dairy Quality Report 2025” and “China Dairy Advancement 2030” were unveiled, setting forth a strategic vision to comprehensively elevate the modernization level of the dairy industry by 2030. Concurrently, the expo hosted 21 specialized conferences—including the China Dairy Development Strategy Symposium, the Cheese Industry Forum, and the Dairy Cattle Breeding Technology Forum—focusing on前沿 issues such as smart pastures, genetic breeding, precision feeding, and low-carbon circular systems. Leading companies like Yili and Mengniu shared innovative practices in AI-driven industrial transformation and full-chain collaboration, offering exemplary pathways for industry-wide upgrading and transformation.
  • For Chinese enterprises, this expo represents a strategic gateway for expanding domestic and international markets, connecting global resources, and showcasing their innovative capabilities. The event invites representatives from large and medium-sized dairy farms nationwide, with total herd sizes exceeding 2.4 million head, providing upstream suppliers with a precise matchmaking platform. During the expo, leading dairy brands such as Yili, Mengniu, Bright Dairy, and Junlebao engage in in-depth discussions with upstream and downstream partners, fostering integrated development across production, processing, and sales. Furthermore, through a hybrid “conference + exhibition” model, the expo offers participating companies end-to-end services—including policy briefings, technical exchanges, and trade matchmaking—effectively supporting China’s dairy industry in transitioning from “scale expansion” to “quality enhancement.”

Exhibition Review

The 16th China Dairy Industry Conference, the D20 Forum, and the China Dairy Exhibition for 2025 were successfully held from July 13 to 15, 2025, at the Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center. Hosted by the China Dairy Industry Association, this year’s event was centered around the theme “Quality and Brand: Steadfastness in Progress; Cooperation and Win-Win: Choices Amidst Change,” making it a premier annual gathering for the Chinese dairy sector.

In terms of scale, the exhibition spanned 100,000 square meters, bringing together over 500 exhibitors from around the globe, attracting more than 60,000 professional visitors. The event was attended by six vice-ministerial-level leaders, two academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, eight heads of national industry associations, and over 1,300 executives from dairy and related enterprises, with total attendance exceeding 6,000 participants.  Among the exhibitors were leading D20 companies such as Yili, Mengniu, Bright Dairy, Junlebao, Feihe, and Wandashan, alongside benchmark dairy farms like Youran Pastures and Modern Dairy. Additionally, major dairy-producing countries—including the United States, the Netherlands, and New Zealand—participated through national pavilions.

This edition of the exhibition featured numerous highlights, with the release of key policy documents and high‑level forums serving as central attractions. During the conference, several authoritative industry documents were unveiled, including the “China Dairy Quality Report (2025),” the “China Dairy Advancement 2030,” and the “Xiamen Initiative for Strengthening the Upstream Sector and Solidifying Foundations among Chinese Dairy Enterprises.” In addition, the “Joint Development Plan for Dairy Consumption Scenarios” was launched.   According to the “China Dairy Quality Report (2025),” China’s milk production surpassed 40 million tons in 2024, reaching 40.794 million tons—an increase of 32.7% compared to 2018—and its self-sufficiency rate rose to 72.8%. Meanwhile, the proportion of large-scale farming reached 78%, Holstein cow milk yields climbed to 9.9 tons per cow, and the pass rate for raw milk sampling has remained above 99.9% for many years.   The “China Dairy Advancement 2030” sets forth a vision for achieving significant progress in high‑quality development by 2030, elevating the overall modernization of the dairy industry and ensuring that production capacity, industrial quality, food safety standards, and competitive strength all rank among the world’s leading levels.

A rich array of concurrent events created a high‑end platform for industry dialogue. Throughout the exhibition, 21 specialized conferences were held, including the 2025 China Dairy Industry Strategic Development Symposium and the 2025 China Cheese Industry Development Summit, comprehensively addressing critical topics across the dairy value chain, such as processing technologies, farm management, and market trends.   Liu Chunxi of Yili Group emphasized building capabilities across the entire supply chain; Li Pengcheng of Mengniu Group highlighted how AI technologies are driving transformative change; Huang Liming of Bright Dairy proposed a science‑and‑technology‑driven path toward high‑quality growth; and Wei Lihua of Junlebao focused on evolving consumer demand—all exploring pathways for industry transformation and upgrading from distinct perspectives.   Academician Shen Jianzhong of the Chinese Academy of Engineering noted in his report that, between 2018 and 2024, China’s dairy cattle industry achieved remarkable growth, with specialty dairy products reaching an annual output of 820,000 tons and an average annual growth rate of 18%, establishing itself as a new engine of expansion.

The professional visitor base was exceptionally strong, underscoring the high quality of buyer engagement. The exhibition drew dairy enterprises, livestock farms, research institutions, and industry experts from across the country, with representatives from over 400 medium‑ and large‑scale farms registering specifically to attend.   Exhibiting companies widely reported that the quality of professional visitors was high, with clear purchasing intentions, resulting in highly effective on‑site business matchmaking. Media coverage totaled over 6,000 articles, with cumulative online reach exceeding 100 million impressions, and live broadcasts on the Xinhua News Agency app garnering nearly 4.1 million views, generating substantial public attention.

The 17th China Dairy Industry Conference and the 2026 China Dairy Exhibition are scheduled to take place from July 8 to 10, 2026, at the Nanchang Greenland International Expo Center. With an anticipated exhibition area of 100,000 square meters, 600 exhibiting companies, and over 60,000 professional visitors, the event is expected to continue providing an efficient platform for exchange and collaboration within the Chinese dairy industry.
