Profile
FURNITURE SUZHOU has been held annually since 2009, establishing itself as one of the most renowned and influential industry-specific trade shows in East China and across the country.
This edition features an exhibition space of 100,000 square meters, with dedicated zones showcasing branded furniture, premium bedroom suites, modern living solutions, window and door systems, whole-house customization, industrial clusters, office furniture, hotel‑grade furnishings, contemporary living room and dining room collections, comprehensive home‑furnishing offerings, outdoor furniture, youth‑oriented home products, smart‑home technologies, and complementary supply-chain solutions.
The organizers of FURNITURE SUZHOU will continue to reinforce the show’s core positioning as a platform for practical, value‑driven commercial collaboration in the home‑furnishings sector. They will further enhance the event’s functionality and, through a series of targeted initiatives and marketing campaigns, attract a larger contingent of professional visitors. By delivering tailored, precision‑focused services to both upstream and downstream segments of the home‑furnishings value chain, the show aims to facilitate efficient supply‑demand matching.
Guided by its original mission—to elevate mid‑range players to mainstream prominence and strengthen the backbone of the industry—FURNITURE SUZHOU has evolved into a premier national forum for professional dialogue within the furniture sector. Weathering challenges along the way, it has steadily grown into one of the most influential B2B trade shows in East China and throughout China.

The Exhibition Value of the Suzhou Furniture Fair
- The Suzhou Furniture Fair is a highly professional and influential furniture industry event in East China, having been successfully held for 16 editions since its inception in 2009. Co‑hosted by the China National Furniture Association and the People’s Government of Xiangcheng District, Suzhou, and leveraging the unique industrial foundation of the Lijiang Furniture Market—known as the “Furniture Trade Capital of Eastern China”—the fair has evolved into a core platform for the furniture industry chain, serving the Yangtze River Delta region and reaching across the nation.
- The core value of participation lies in the fair’s platform‑based integration with the industrial ecosystem of the “Furniture Trade Capital of Eastern China.” The Lijiang Furniture Market in Suzhou boasts 41 large-scale furniture malls, over 600 street‑front shops, and more than 5,000 furniture brands, generating annual sales exceeding RMB 12 billion and employing over 50,000 professionals. It stands as the largest furniture distribution hub in East China. The fair and the Lijiang Market engage in a mutually reinforcing “exhibition‑market synergy,” where exhibitions drive market growth and the market, in turn, fuels exhibition success. Participating companies can directly connect with this vast marketplace’s buyers, distributors, and end consumers, efficiently expanding their reach throughout the Yangtze River Delta and nationwide.
- The fair has established a one‑stop commercial platform covering the entire furniture industry chain. Exhibits span all categories, including finished furniture (solid wood, upholstered, office, rosewood), woodworking machinery, raw and auxiliary materials, home décor, and smart home solutions. At the 17th edition in 2025, more than 200 premium brands will gather, showcasing everything from custom‑made pieces and solid‑wood suites to upholstered furnishings, office furniture, and cutting‑edge raw materials, creating an end‑to‑end closed loop—from supply chains and intelligent scenarios to best‑selling product sourcing and project implementation. In 2023, the fair attracted 138,923 professional visitors, underscoring the robust vitality of the East China furniture market.
- The fair aligns closely with industry trends toward AI empowerment and smart homes, establishing itself as a premier showcase for innovative products and advanced technologies. The 17th edition in 2025 will debut under the theme “AI Empowers Smart Living,” focusing on the digital and intelligent transformation of the smart home sector. Yalan’s smart mattress features eight sleep modes, anti‑snoring functionality, and a gentle wake‑up feature; brands such as Huahua Kasha and Mikalo present rechargeable, music‑enabled smart sofas; meanwhile, Huawei’s HarmonyOS ecosystem and Xiaomi’s whole‑home smart solutions will be demonstrated on site, offering immersive smart‑home experiences through intelligent panels and multi‑modal app interactions. Concurrently, the fair will launch the Lijiang Smart Home E‑Commerce Live‑Streaming Night and unveil the Lijiang Smart Home Research Center, aiming to cultivate a regional hub for the digital home industry in the Yangtze River Delta.
- Leveraging the newly commissioned Suzhou Yuanhetang Convention and Exhibition Center, the fair enhances the efficiency of business matchmaking. For the first time in 2025, the fair relocates from the Jinji Lake area to Lijiang, right at the doorstep of the local community. The convention center is situated in close proximity to landmark shopping destinations such as Xintiandi and Chaoshidai, while surrounding logistics, hotel, and dining facilities are well‑developed and fully integrated, providing exhibitors and buyers with an efficient platform for connection. The People’s Government of Xiangcheng District, Suzhou, places great emphasis on fostering the development of the furniture industry, actively promoting the deep integration of the digital economy and advanced manufacturing, and has introduced policies such as the “Action Plan for Promoting Digital Transformation and Cluster Development of the Home Furnishings Industry in Xiangcheng District,” offering robust support for enterprise growth.
- For Chinese enterprises, this fair serves as a strategic gateway to tap into the East China market, showcase brand strength, and capture the benefits of the smart home boom. East China encompasses nearly 200 million of China’s healthiest and most affluent consumers, boasting unparalleled regional purchasing power. Participating companies can use this platform to deeply integrate into the Yangtze River Delta furniture industry cluster, accessing a complete industrial chain—from design and R&D, through raw material supply and production, to final sales—and transitioning from traditional manufacturing toward the new “AI + Home” frontier.

Review
The 17th Suzhou Furniture Exhibition (FURNITURE SUZHOU) 2025 was successfully held from September 10 to 12, 2025, at the Suzhou Yuanhetang Convention and Exhibition Center. With the theme “AI Empowers, Smart Living,” this edition of the exhibition is the annual highlight of the furniture industry in East China.
In terms of scale, the event spanned 45,000 square meters, bringing together over 200 premium brands across the entire value chain—covering smart home solutions, custom branding, solid wood suites, upholstered furniture, office furniture, and raw and auxiliary materials. On the first day alone, visitor numbers exceeded 40,000. For the first time, the exhibition relocated from the banks of Jinji Lake to Lijiang, forging deep synergies with 41 nearby large-scale furniture malls to pioneer a new “exhibition–market integration” business model.
This year’s show featured numerous highlights, with AI-driven innovation taking center stage. At Huawei’s HarmonyOS Smart Home exhibit, users could seamlessly interact via the Smart Life app, tablets, and smart panels, connecting effortlessly with appliances from brands such as Gree and Midea. Meanwhile, Xiaomi’s showcase demonstrated an automated system that recognizes when the homeowner returns home, coordinating air conditioners, range hoods, televisions, and robotic vacuum cleaners to respond accordingly. Yalan’s smart mattress drew significant attention, offering eight distinct sleep modes—including full-body massage, anti-snoring settings, and gentle wake-up functions—and leveraging five cutting-edge cloud‑based sensing technologies to deliver comfort throughout the entire sleep cycle. Brands like Huahua Kasha and Mikalo presented smart sofas that can be charged and play music, embedding technology into everyday life. Aocheng’s intelligent study desks and chairs, designed with children’s healthy development in mind, also captured parents’ interest.
Specialized zones and concurrent events added further excitement. Covering the full spectrum of the furniture industry—from smart home solutions and custom design to solid wood suites, upholstered furniture, office furniture, and raw materials—the exhibition established a one-stop closed-loop ecosystem linking supply chains, smart living scenarios, best‑selling product sourcing, and project implementation. At the opening ceremony, the Lijiang Smart Home E‑commerce Live‑Streaming Night kicked off, igniting a fresh wave of consumer enthusiasm through immersive livestream experiences and limited‑time surprise promotions. The Lijiang Smart Home Research Center, integrating display, trade, R&D, and experiential elements, was officially unveiled, aiming to become a digital home‑industry cluster hub, a new retail operations demonstration center, and a research‑and‑experience base for smart home technologies in the Yangtze River Delta region. Several furniture companies signed on‑site contracts, their substantial order volumes underscoring robust market demand and strong confidence in the smart home sector.
Outcomes and industry response were overwhelmingly positive. Since its establishment in 1992, the Lijiang Furniture Market has grown into one of China’s most influential and widely radiating furniture industry centers, boasting 41 large-scale furniture malls and over 600 street‑side shops, home to more than 5,000 furniture brands and generating annual sales exceeding RMB 12 billion in 2024. Building on this rich industrial heritage, this year’s exhibition, through its “exhibition–market integration” approach, greatly facilitated direct spot procurement and supply‑chain optimization for exhibitors and buyers, while providing industry professionals with valuable trend insights and a robust platform for business matchmaking.
Exhibiting companies universally reported high‑quality professional visitors with clear purchasing intentions, and AI‑enabled smart home solutions have emerged as an industry consensus. Attendees agreed that the Suzhou Furniture Exhibition is not only an excellent platform for brand showcasing and commercial networking but also a critical nexus for understanding industry trends and exploring pathways toward “AI + Home” transformation. From a mattress that “obeys” your commands to a home that truly understands you, Lijiang is redefining the “temperature of home” through AI, writing a new chapter for China’s furniture industry.
The 18th Suzhou Furniture Exhibition will take place from March 26 to 28, 2026, at the Suzhou International Expo Center. The event is expected to feature an exhibition space of 100,000 square meters, with over 600 exhibitors and more than 138,000 visitors. Thirteen specialized zones will be set up, covering branded furniture, whole‑house customization, smart home solutions, office furniture, and other segments, continuing to provide an efficient forum for industry-wide exchange.
