Exhibition Review
The 2025 China International Textile Machinery Exhibition & ITMA Asia (ITMA ASIA + CITME 2025) was successfully held from October 28 to 31, 2025, at the Singapore Expo. This edition of the show focused on “Textile Technology Platforms Driving Regional Development,” targeting rapidly growing markets in South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. With a total exhibition area exceeding 70,000 square meters, it brought together more than 840 exhibitors from 30 countries and regions.
Over the four-day event, the exhibition attracted over 26,600 professional visitors from 109 countries and regions, with approximately 92% hailing from outside Singapore. The top three source countries were India (19%), China (11%), and Indonesia (10%). Other leading countries included Bangladesh, Pakistan, Vietnam, and Malaysia.
Exhibitor participation reflected a diversified landscape. China accounted for more than 300 companies, occupying roughly 30% of the total exhibition space—the largest share among all nations. Industry leaders such as China National Textile and Apparel Corporation, Rifa Textile Machinery, Qingdao Century Haijia, Yuanxin Industrial, and Hongda Smart Technology showcased their cutting-edge offerings. Meanwhile, member states of the European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers contributed 281 exhibitors, representing 38% of the total exhibition area, with Italy leading the way with nearly one hundred participants, followed by Germany and Switzerland. German companies made a strong showing, with 82 firms occupying approximately 3,500 square meters, supported by a German national pavilion initiated by VDMA, which gathered 30 exhibitors.
The exhibited products spanned 19 core categories, including spinning, weaving, knitting, nonwovens, synthetic fibers, dyeing and finishing, printing, apparel machinery, and textile equipment, forming a comprehensive one-stop platform for showcasing technological solutions. Finishing technologies took center stage, accounting for about 22% of the total exhibition space, followed by spinning machinery at 19%, and knitting, weaving, and printing machinery at 15%, 11%, and 10%, respectively. Many exhibitors highlighted innovative approaches such as recycling, resource efficiency, waterless processing, and the integration of renewable energy. As a result, finishing, spinning, knitting, weaving, digital printing, and recycling & circular economy emerged as the six most closely watched segments.
The next edition of the exhibition is scheduled to take place from November 20 to 24, 2026, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).
