The Royal Hospital Chelsea is a magnificent building established in 1692, serving as the first large-scale royal building. The exterior is painted in a distinctive purple-red color with white accents that highlight the unique wealth and refinement of royal nobility. The four-columned portico extends symmetrically on both sides into a colonnade structure, with a row of arches above corresponding to it, reflecting the rationality of classical architecture through its strict proportions.

The interior features a dome-shaped ceiling, with skylights in the vault ensuring ample light inside, and the entire decoration embodies the grandeur of ancient Greek architecture. Sir Christopher Wren, the designer of St. Paul's Cathedral, was an ardent advocate of the geometric aesthetics and measurements promoted by classicism. From this rather famous building, one can feel his obsession with geometric shapes and proportions.
