The site covers an area of about 51,660 square meters, with a total construction area of 38,657 square meters. Among them, the area of the single overall display space is 10,000 square meters, and the overall height of the building is 35 meters. The plot where the building is located is very regular, with convenient transportation, which is conducive to the holding of various exhibitions.

Silkworm cocoons and silk are the source of the development of Shengze City, and also the pride of Shengze as a Silk Capital. The international convention and exhibition center will紧扣this theme and be named "City Cocoon". As can be seen from the planning scheme, the Shengze International Convention and Exhibition Center combines the characteristics of the new urban area planning, takes the silk culture of Shengze as the source of design concept, and skillfully transforms the silkworm cocoons and silk in the traditional handcrafted silk production process. Based on the characteristics of the site, it puts forward the design concept of "Gathering Shengze's brocade, weaving the beauty of the Silk Capital". The surface of the convention and exhibition center is "Earthly Brocade", which is processed together with the landscape, like silk covering the earth. The display space of the convention and exhibition center is a silkworm cocoon wrapped in satin, becoming the "City Cocoon". The silkworm cocoon孕育s the silk culture of Shengze, creating the reputation of the Silk Capital. It symbolizes that this "City Cocoon" will孕育more development opportunities and draw a beautiful blueprint for Shengze's future.

The "City Cocoon" building is 35 meters high. On the west side, the front square, which is composed of water features and outdoor exhibition grounds, serves as the main pedestrian flow line, adjacent to the new urban axis, while vehicle traffic circles around the city trunk road. At the same time, the unloading and underground garage traffic near the convention and exhibition center on the east side are organized, ultimately achieving complete separation of pedestrians and vehicles. From the effect drawing, it can be seen that the entire convention and exhibition center building is like silk unfolding into the earth, blending with the earth through water features and paving landscapes, depicting the soft texture of silk. At the same time, this winding water feature also symbolizes the Jiangnan water town characteristics of Shengze, perfectly combining tradition and culture, water and silk, creating a natural scene of perpetual vitality. Not only will the convention and exhibition center provide good venues for various textile exhibitions in Shengze, but it will also create ecological value leisure landscapes.
