China (Suzhou) Sports Tourism Expo Profile
The China Sports Tourism Expo (CSTE) is held concurrently with the China Sports Culture Expo. Shandong Province serves as the Guest of Honor for both expos in 2025. This year’s event will center on the theme “Sports Empowering a Better Life,” highlighting four key highlights: In terms of exhibition layout, it delves deeper into niche segments and introduces innovative new areas dedicated to sports technology and services; in platform development, it refines its event‑IP conversion platform to facilitate on‑site announcements and seamless project implementation; in consumer promotion, it features dedicated zones for premium international products and for sports‑brand consumption, unlocking latent demand; and in service enhancement, it upgrades its overall service offerings and supporting activity portfolio to precisely meet the diverse needs of exhibitors and attendees.
As a premier coastal sports tourism hub in eastern China, Shandong leverages distinctive regional assets such as the “Taishan Spirit” and “coastal sports” to drive the upgrading of its local sports industry. Grounded in the “Qilu Model,” it fosters collaborative innovation among provincial sports resources while continuously strengthening cultural exchanges and project partnerships with neighboring provinces and municipalities. As this year’s Guest of Honor, Shandong will adopt the core philosophy of “blending tradition with modernity, and fostering symbiosis between sports and cultural tourism,” creating a themed pavilion titled “Good Fortune Shandong—Vibrant Qilu.” By seamlessly integrating the cultural essence of Shandong’s iconic triad—mountains, waters, and sages—and employing digital technologies, sport‑tourism integration scenarios, and elements of national fitness, the pavilion will embody the spirit of Shandong’s sports culture—vitality, openness, innovation, and mutual benefit—thereby reinforcing the “Good Fortune Shandong” brand image.
The China Sports Tourism Expo (CSTE) is driven by the goals of accelerating the building of a strong sports nation, meeting the public’s health needs, and promoting high‑quality development of sports in the new era. Anchored in national strategic priorities and oriented toward the international market, it seeks to stimulate sports consumption through the integration of sports and cultural tourism, fully harnessing the comprehensive value and multifaceted functions of sports in China’s path toward modernization and high‑quality development. With the overarching aim of leveraging high‑quality sports development to advance national progress, societal advancement, and the well‑being of the people, the expo establishes an international, professional, market‑oriented, and high‑end platform for showcasing and trading sports culture and tourism products and services.
