Guangzhou Airport Expo Center

The Guangzhou Airport Central Business District Convention and Exhibition Center is located in the core area of the Guangzhou Airport Central Business District and forms an integral part of the district’s project, which was designated as a key provincial construction initiative for Guangzhou in 2021.

The project comprises 12 exhibition halls with a total gross floor area of 250,000 square meters. Each hall features a span of up to 76.5 meters, and its roof boasts a maximum cantilever length of 18.77 meters. The design incorporates an arched metal roof structure supported by a shuttle‑shaped composite cable‑stayed truss system. The steel truss being lifted this time measures 70 meters in length, 6 meters in width, 4.5 meters in height, and weighs 90 tons; it constitutes the first beam of Hall No. 1 and also marks the inaugural steel truss installation for the entire convention and exhibition center project.
