Dongsheng District People's Comprehensive Fitness Activity Center

The Dongsheng District People's Comprehensive Fitness Activity Center Stadium is located in the Hexi District of Ordos City, with a total construction area of 100,500 square meters. It has three floors above ground and combines the shape of an archer from the Inner Mongolia grassland with steel cables resembling piano strings, fully embodying the Mongolian people's characteristic of being both strong and gentle.

The stadium's giant arch structure cleverly adopts the design concept of a steel tube arch bridge, transmitting most of the roof's gravity load to the large arch through steel cables, significantly reducing the height of the large-span roof truss. The horizontal loads are borne by the lower concrete grandstand structure with greater rigidity. The roof projection is elliptical, with a long axis of 268m and a short axis of 220m. The giant arch is 129m high and spans 330m, inclined at 6.1° to the vertical line on the ground. 46 tensioned cables of varying lengths, implemented through segmented tensioning schemes, achieve overall force balance.

The opening and closing roof covers an area of 10,076.2 square meters, making it the largest opening and closing roof in China. It can accommodate 50,000 spectators. The stadium's curtain wall is inclined at 28° outward, with 12,500 pieces of irregular artificial stone of various specifications, presenting different facade effects under different lighting conditions at different times. This stadium boasts the largest opening and closing roof in China, integrating sports competitions, comprehensive fitness activities, and leisure entertainment into one comprehensive building.

Construction began on March 10, 2009, and was completed on August 30, 2011, with a total investment of 1.44 billion yuan.
