InterContinental Hangzhou is located in the Central Business District of Hangzhou’s Qianjiang New City, overlooking the world-famous Qiantang River. It is just a stone’s throw away from the Civic Center, Wave Culture Town, and the Hangzhou Grand Theatre. The hotel is adjacent to the Civic Center Station on Metro Line 4, offering direct access to Hangzhou Railway Station, East Railway Station, West Lake Scenic Area, and various commercial districts.

The hotel was designed by the renowned Canadian architect Carlos Ott. Its striking spherical façade, dominated by golden tones, evokes a radiant sun, echoing the crescent-shaped Hangzhou Grand Theatre across the river—a symbolic tribute to the harmonious interplay of “sun and moon.” With its distinctive, thoughtfully crafted design, the hotel has become an iconic landmark in Hangzhou.

Inside, the hotel boasts a grand and spacious ambiance. A soaring 85-meter-high dome graces the lobby on the fifth floor, while the 384 guest rooms are elegantly arranged along the interior of this curved structure. Ranging from 55 to 420 square meters, each room features expansive floor-to-ceiling windows that offer breathtaking views of the Qiantang River, dazzling light shows, or the musical fountain.

The hotel houses five uniquely styled restaurants and one lobby bar: Yuansu All-Day Dining, Wando Seafood Restaurant, Riyuexuan Chinese Restaurant, WoXin German Bar, and Mian Gong Workshop. Additionally, it offers nearly 6,000 square meters of versatile meeting and event space, including a column-free grand ballroom spanning 1,780 square meters—formerly the main venue for numerous high-profile international conferences.
