The China-Northeast Asia Expo (CNEA EXPO) aims to build a long-term cooperation platform for mutual benefit, win-win outcomes, exchange, cooperation, competition, and openness between China and Northeast Asian countries. The expo is co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the People's Government of Jilin Province.

Hao Mingjin pointed out that the China-Northeast Asia Expo serves as a crucial platform for promoting friendly exchanges and pragmatic cooperation between China and Northeast Asian countries. In 2019, President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter specifically for the 12th China-Northeast Asia Expo, emphasizing the need to leverage this platform to build consensus, advance cooperation, expand achievements, and jointly create a bright new future for Northeast Asia. In 2020, during his inspection tour in Jilin Province, President Xi stressed the importance of actively participating in the Belt and Road Initiative and establishing Jilin as a key window for China's opening-up to the north and a central hub for cooperation in the Northeast Asia region. President Xi's important speeches provide fundamental guidance for jointly utilizing the China-Northeast Asia Expo as an economic and trade cooperation platform to promote friendly exchanges and comprehensive cooperation with Northeast Asian countries.

Supporting Events

1. The 4th Northeast Asia Local Cooperation Roundtable Conference

Event Content: Through face-to-face exchanges, the conference will explore ways to deepen cooperation, jointly stimulate new vitality in the Northeast Asia region, promote industrial collaboration, improve bilateral and multilateral mechanisms, enhance cultural and people-to-people exchanges, and jointly create a future of win-win cooperation and shared development in Northeast Asia.

Event Level: Provincial leaders, relevant leaders from the governments of Liaoning Province, Heilongjiang Province, and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region; diplomatic envoys of the five Northeast Asian countries to China, local government representatives, and the Secretary-General of the Northeast Asia Local Governments Cooperation Organization, among others, are expected to be invited.

2. The 7th Northeast Asia Industrial Park Dialogue

Host: Secretariat of the Greater Tumen Initiative (GTI)

Event Content: The dialogue will establish a communication and exchange platform for key industrial parks in the Northeast Asia region. It will share and showcase successful innovation cases, conduct industrial matchmaking and project cooperation activities, further promote multi-field cooperation among industrial parks in Northeast Asian countries, share resources and opportunities, optimize outcomes, and elevate regional cooperation to a new level.

Event Level: Provincial leaders, senior officials from the GTI Secretariat, representatives from the five Northeast Asian member countries, relevant leaders from the Department of International Trade and Economic Affairs of MOFCOM, and heads of industrial parks from various countries are expected to be invited.

3. 2025 Northeast Asia Business Cooperation Forum

Event Content: Representatives from chambers of commerce and industry associations across Northeast Asian countries will be invited to discuss and analyze new trends in regional economic development under the current global economic landscape. Industry associations and key enterprise representatives will introduce the development status, technological levels, and innovation capabilities of their respective countries' advantageous industries, promoting regional economic and trade exchanges and cooperation.

Event Level: Provincial leaders, relevant leaders from CCPIT, and representatives from chambers of commerce and industry associations of the five Northeast Asian countries are expected to be invited.

4. The 11th Northeast Asia Tourism Forum under the Greater Tumen Initiative

Event Content: The forum will explore new ideas, directions, and pathways for the development of the tourism industry and related sectors in the Northeast Asia region. It aims to promote business exchanges and cooperation among enterprises in the region and foster the integrated development of cultural and tourism industries.

5. China (Jilin) - Russia Economic and Trade Exchange Conference

Event Content: Focusing on building a key window for China's opening-up to the north, Chinese and Russian entrepreneurs will be invited to exchange views on the current status, policies, and future trends of Sino-Russian economic and trade relations, the Arctic shipping route, China-Europe freight trains, port channels, cross-border e-commerce, and overseas warehouses. Economic and trade negotiations and project matchmaking activities will be organized to continuously deepen Jilin Province's economic and trade cooperation with Russia.

6. China-Japan Economic and Trade Exchange & Hydrogen Energy Industry Matchmaking Conference

Event Content: Key enterprise representatives from the hydrogen energy sector in China and Japan will be invited to conduct matchmaking and negotiations on industrial chain cooperation and technological R&D. The event will share industry trends and cooperation recommendations, and organize achievement exhibitions and project signing ceremonies.

7. Korea Business Day

Event Content: Enterprises from both sides will participate in industrial matchmaking activities to share economic trends and cooperation opportunities. The event aims to build an efficient platform for China-Korea economic and trade cooperation, promote industrial chain collaboration, and enhance mutual trust.

Event Level: Provincial leaders, the Korean Ambassador to China, relevant leaders from the Department of Asian Affairs of MOFCOM, and Chinese and Korean enterprise representatives are expected to be invited.

8. Changbaishan Pharmaceutical and Health Industry Development Forum

Event Content: Centered on the high-quality development of the ginseng industry, the forum will explore and showcase new concepts, technologies, methods, and trends in the pharmaceutical and health sectors, including ginseng. It will promote trade matchmaking and project cooperation to support the high-quality development of Jilin Province's pharmaceutical industry.

Event Level: Provincial leaders, leaders from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, heads of key domestic and international universities, renowned experts and scholars, and representatives from key enterprises are expected to be invited.

9. High-Quality Development Cooperation and Exchange Conference for Development Zones

Event Content: Focusing on enhancing the capacity of opening-up platforms and promoting the high-quality development of development zones, the conference will feature thematic seminars, project negotiations, and cooperation matchmaking based on industrial categories, development models, and policy innovations. Outstanding achievements will be showcased and released.

Event Level: Provincial leaders, relevant department heads from MOFCOM, and heads of relevant development zones nationwide are expected to be invited.

10. Renowned Zhejiang Entrepreneurs Visit Jilin & "Jilin Meets Zhejiang" Sci-Tech Innovation Investment Cooperation Promotion Event

Event Content: The event will include industrial promotion and project exhibitions, one-on-one project matchmaking, and on-site inspections. It aims to foster deep interaction in technological R&D and achievement transformation between the two provinces, accelerating the sharing and cooperation of scientific and technological achievements.

Event Level: Provincial leaders, representatives of renowned entrepreneurs from Zhejiang Province, representatives from Jilin's research institutions and universities, and representatives of high-quality local sci-tech innovation enterprises are expected to be invited.
