
CIFTIS Expo Profile
The China International Trade in Services Fair - CIFTIS was approved by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council in 2012 to enhance China's international competitiveness in service industries and trade. It is co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and the People's Government of Beijing Municipality. In 2019, it was renamed as the China International Trade in Services Fair. As China's economy enters a new era, the development of the CIFTIS has entered a new stage of quality improvement. The abbreviation of the China International Trade in Services Fair was changed from 'Beijing Fair' to 'CIFTIS' in 2020.
It has become an important platform for spreading concepts, connecting supply and demand, sharing business opportunities, and promoting development in the field of international trade in services. It is the largest comprehensive exhibition in the global trade in services sector and the leading exhibition in China's trade in services sector. Together with the China Import and Export Commodity Fair (Canton Fair) and the China International Import Expo (CIIE), they form the three major exhibition platforms for China's opening up.

The China International Trade in Services Fair - CIFTIS aims to be a world-class exhibition in the field of international trade in services, providing a new platform for governments, international organizations, service trade enterprises and institutions around the world to showcase, exchange, negotiate, and cooperate; building a new bridge for global exhibitors and merchants to share business opportunities and promote development; creating a new channel for renowned figures from all walks of life in the global political, business, academic, and research fields to discuss hot issues in trade in services, explore sustainable development, and achieve win-win cooperation.
The Chinese government will work with countries around the world, international organizations, and institutions to make the CIFTIS a key force in promoting the prosperity of global trade in services, serving as a barometer and indicator for the development of global trade in services, and a new carrier for promoting international trade and world economic growth.
