China International Furniture Exhibition – Shanghai Furniture FairProfile

From September 7 to 11, 2026, the 31st China International Furniture Exhibition—Furniture China—and Maison Shanghai 2026, the Modern Shanghai Design Week (the 2026 Pudong Dual Furniture and Home Furnishings Show), will grandly open at the Shanghai New International Expo Center and the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center!

It is expected to welcome over 3,200 exhibiting brands, span an exhibition area of 350,000 square meters, and attract more than 200,000 domestic and international professional visitors. Entering its 31st year, this edition of the dual exhibitions centers on four major upgrades—“grand vision, stellar lineup, rich content, and robust connectivity”—to propel China’s home furnishing industry from scale leadership toward value leadership.

This year, the 31st China International Furniture Expo will continue to uphold the guiding principle of “dual circulation—export and domestic sales, with new retail integrating online and offline channels,” leveraging design to drive a transformation in lifestyles. The exhibition will showcase a comprehensive range of furniture categories, spanning original designs, high-end customizations, green and smart solutions, future-oriented office furnishings, premium outdoor collections, healthy sleep products, innovative materials, artistic soft furnishings, and creative lighting, thereby covering the entire upstream-to-downstream value chain of the furniture and home furnishing industry.

Key Data:

The total exhibition area exceeds 350,000 m², comprising a total of 50 pavilions

Attracting more than 3,200 domestic and international brands to participate, the event jointly showcases a new vision of original design, green technology, and smart living.

FMC China 2026: China High-End Furniture Manufacturing Exhibition: Showcasing over 800 global premium raw-material supply-chain enterprises, highlighting industry-leading innovations in quality-driven manufacturing upgrades

2026 Maison Shanghai Modern Shanghai Design Week: Featuring over 1,000 home‑furnishing brands, the event centers on four key themes—“New Value, New Connections, New Momentum, and New Perspectives”—further establishing Modern Shanghai as a pioneering hub for Chinese本土 design and a vital platform for international exchange. It is an unmissable premier design exhibition for designers, interior stylists, and buyers alike.

It is expected to attract 200,000 professional visitors from both domestic and international markets, representing 174 countries and regions worldwide (Note: 174 refers to the number of countries represented by attendees, not exhibitors—please avoid confusion between these two figures.)

More than 20 distinctive themed exhibitions are sparking a lifestyle revolution, over 100 master forums are buzzing with insightful discussions, and more than 200 furniture manufacturing hubs are pioneering new pathways in the industry chain.

China International Furniture Exhibition – Shanghai Furniture Fair tickets are e-tickets. The Exhibition Value of China International Furniture Expo

  • FURNITURE CHINA is the largest and most internationally oriented professional trade event in China’s furniture industry. Since its inception in 1993, it has been successfully held for thirty editions and is widely recognized by the industry as a global benchmark for the furniture sector and a central hub for the Asian furniture market. Co-organized by the China National Furniture Association and Shanghai Intex Exhibition Co., Ltd., the 30th edition in 2025 will be themed “Crossing Boundaries: A New Era,” expanding to 350,000 square meters. It will bring together over 3,200 exhibitors from 24 countries and regions, attracting 163,527 professional visitors from 174 countries and territories, with overseas attendance up 13.9% year-on-year—a record high.
  • The core value of participation lies in the exhibition’s role as a global barometer for furniture trade and its unique advantage in precisely connecting international buyers. Covering the entire industry chain—from residential and office furniture to home décor, raw materials, and manufacturing equipment—the show fosters a complete ecosystem that spans design, R&D, production, and supply. During the 2025 event, more than 120 substantive cooperation agreements were brokered through targeted business-matching sessions, while the “Global Buyers’ Night” facilitated deep networking among multinational trading partners. The exhibition also pioneered the “Factory Direct Sales Pavilion,” bringing together over 200 source manufacturers, integrated with the online “Intex Furniture Selection” mini‑app to create a 365‑day, round‑the‑clock “Design Supply Chain Express.”
  • The expo has established a one-stop commercial platform covering the entire furniture value chain. The new Shanghai World Expo Center hosts leading domestic original‑design brands such as Dixin, Aibao, Yazhen, Zuoyou, Gujia, and Muis, alongside internationally renowned names like Ligne Roset, Ashley, KODA, and BOORI. Meanwhile, FMC China gathers over 800 premium global supply‑chain enterprises, with Lege, Jiechang, and Germany’s OKIN showcasing intelligent lifting and electric‑adjustment solutions; Danish TEXSTYLE, Portuguese ELASTON, and the U.S. Hardwood Export Council along with the French Wood Association, together with more than 40 overseas companies, have created a one‑stop procurement platform for imported timber.
  • Keeping pace with three major industry trends—design leadership, smart empowerment, and green sustainability—the expo has built a cutting‑edge technological hub that deeply integrates industry, academia, research, and application. The H3 Design Hub presents works at an art‑gallery level, featuring landmark exhibitions such as Lu Zhirong’s “One Realm,” Lü Yongzhong’s “Practical Living,” and Yang Mingjie’s “The Evolution of Design,” which have resonated profoundly across the sector. The China Furniture Design Golden Pin Award has undergone a strategic upgrade, adding the “China Architectural Decoration Golden Pin Award” and incorporating interdisciplinary resources spanning architecture and interior design. Zuoyou Sofa unveiled smart‑home‑enabled products, while Sheng’ao Technology’s UP7 smart height‑adjustable desk, with touch controls and sedentary‑reminder features, exemplifies the direction of “new‑quality productivity.” Meanwhile, Yao Xiaojuan’s independently developed “Custom Furniture 3D‑Printing Intelligent Manufacturing Platform” has already been implemented at Meike Home and other enterprises, effectively driving the industry toward greater intelligence and sustainability.
  • For Chinese enterprises, this expo serves as a strategic gateway to expand into global markets, connect with international resources, and showcase their innovative strengths. The “Top Ten Chinese Furniture Brands Exhibition,” under the theme “Brand Power Nation,” invites distinguished brands such as Sheng’ao, Zuoyou, Fengyang, Zhendan, Dongcheng, and Lan Niao to present collectively, highlighting China’s originality, technological prowess, and product excellence to a worldwide audience. For the first time, the expo employs a staggered‑scheduling mechanism to efficiently manage global visitor flows, while its digital foreign‑trade platform, DTS FurnitureChina, has been comprehensively upgraded to provide global buyers and premium suppliers with a smarter, more efficient experience in matching supply and demand. Participating companies can leverage this platform to access global sourcing networks and seize early opportunities in the furniture industry’s transformation toward intelligence, sustainability, and globalization.

Exhibition Review

The 30th China International Furniture Exhibition (FURNITURE CHINA 2025) was successfully held from September 10 to 13, 2025, at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. Co-hosted by the China National Furniture Association and Shanghai Intex Exhibition Co., Ltd., this edition of the show was themed “Transcendence: A New Era” and, for the first time, featured a dual‑hall collaboration with Modern Shanghai Design Week and the Modern Shanghai Fashion Home Exhibition, making it an annual highlight for the global furniture industry.

In terms of scale, the exhibition covered 350,000 square meters across 50 halls, bringing together more than 3,200 exhibitors from 24 countries and regions worldwide. It attracted 163,527 professional visitors, spanning 174 countries and territories. Among them, overseas visitors numbered 32,618, up 13.9% year over year; Modern Shanghai Design Week drew 47,077 attendees, a remarkable 55.6% increase compared to the previous year, with overseas participation surging by 123%. The FMC China—China’s High-End Furniture Manufacturing Exhibition—hosted over 800 leading global supply-chain companies, while more than 200 premium fabric manufacturers from world-class textile hubs such as Linping and Haining—including Zhongwang, Aike, Yikan, and OTE—made their debut.

This year’s event boasted numerous highlights, with design excellence and an innovative ecosystem serving as central attractions. The H3 Design Hub was presented at museum‑level quality, featuring Lu Zhirong’s expansive “A Realm: Objects by Lu Zhirong” exhibition spanning over 200 square meters, as well as Lü Yongzhong’s thematic joint show “Living Furniture Practice 2006–2025: Halfwood x Lü Yongzhong Studio.” Meanwhile, Zhong Song’s haute couture collection “Heavenly Matter: Boundless Realms” redefined contemporary high-end lifestyle narratives, and Yang Mingjie’s YANG DESIGN showcased “The Evolution of Design: Handcraft, Machinery, and Algorithms,” exploring how technological transformation is reshaping design value.

International brands and homegrown original designs competed side by side, forming a formidable exhibitor lineup. Global names such as Ligne Roset, INNOVATION, ACTONA GROUP, PEBL, KODA COMMUNE, UNIQUE, BOORI, STAR, and VERDON brought diverse international design inspirations, while local original brands—including Dixin, Aibao Furniture, Wanyou Home, Zhitong, Baxia Jupin, GeSe, VINEKO, Xiameng, Duoman Fengqing, Dashi, and Grado—captured widespread international attention.

Complementary concurrent events created a high‑end platform for industry dialogue. During the exhibition, more than a hundred high‑profile forums were held, including the Modern Design Conference at the World Expo Pavilion, discussions on the globalization of design, the Modern City Summit, Design Theater, Life Trends Forum, the Modern 100+ Designers List, and the Xiaohongshu Home & Furniture Buyer Trends Forum. Additionally, the New International hosted thought‑provoking dialogues such as “Game Changers: Design and Industrial Transformation” and the “Time to Go Global: Brands Toward the Future” forum on global strategies for home‑furnishing brands, alongside practical cross‑border trade workshops. At the 30th anniversary gala, the “Exhibitor Honor Award” and the “30 Years, 30 People” series of accolades were presented, alongside the signing of the “Golden Pin Award Five-Year Strategic Agreement” and the “DIA China Design & Intelligent Manufacturing Grand Prize Strategic Agreement.”

The professional visitor base was exceptionally strong, with an unprecedented level of international representation. The exhibition drew professional buyers from 174 countries and regions. Premium buyers from Singapore, the United States, France, and other markets engaged in face-to-face business matchmaking sessions, resulting in over 120 substantive cooperation agreements. During the exclusive “Global Buyers’ Night,” international buyers and exhibitors explored future opportunities within an immersive Chinese cultural setting. Furthermore, the exhibition’s digital foreign‑trade platform, DTS FurnitureChina, underwent a major upgrade, offering smarter, more efficient supply‑demand matching solutions for global buyers and top-tier suppliers.

The 31st China International Furniture Exhibition (FURNITURE CHINA 2026) will take place in September 2026 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. The event will continue to serve as an effective platform for global exchange and collaboration within the furniture industry.
