The Shanghai International Energy Storage Technology Exhibition (SNEC) will be held concurrently with the “SNEC International Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell (Shanghai) Technology Conference and Exhibition.” The event is co-organized by the Global Green Energy Council, the Shanghai Federation of Economic Organizations, the Shanghai Science and Technology Exchange Center, and the Shanghai New Energy Industry Association.
The Shanghai International Energy Storage Technology Exhibition (SNEC) will continue to focus on themes such as “Photovoltaics + Storage” and “New-Energy Electric Vehicles.” Under the leadership of industry leaders from photovoltaic companies, distributed energy providers, power equipment manufacturers, and other sectors, it will expand the energy storage market, accelerate the development of key energy storage technologies, and fully leverage policy-driven pathways toward marketization and standardized frameworks. The 11th International Exhibition on Energy Storage and Battery Technologies & Equipment (SNEC ES+), held in 2025, successfully took place from October 9 to 12 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center.Co-hosted by authoritative organizations including the Global Green Energy Council, the Asia-Pacific New Energy Industry Association, and the European Energy Storage Industry Association, this year’s event was themed “Building a New-Era Energy Storage Industrial Chain to Empower Next-Generation Power Systems and Smart Grids,” making it the most significant annual gathering for technological exchange and business matchmaking in the global energy storage sector.
A Grand-Scale Exhibition and ConferenceDuring the event, the opening ceremony and multiple high-level forums were held, drawing over 3,000 representatives from government, industry, academia, and research institutions across dozens of countries. The exhibition brought together more than 500 companies spanning the energy storage and hydrogen value chain, with leading enterprises such as Huawei Digital Power, GCL Group, Tianneng Group, EVE Energy, GoodWe, KSTAR, Chint Power, TBEA, Nandu Power, Ruipu Lanjun, Maitian Energy, Shenhong Electric, and Pylontech all showcasing their latest innovations. Three World-Class Launch Events: Core Highlights of the ShowAt the opening ceremony, the “Global New Energy Empowerment Center” was officially launched. Located in Shanghai’s Hongqiao International Central Business District, the center is designed to deliver six core functions—project development and resource matchmaking, capital attraction and investment‑financing services, technology incubation, and industrial implementation—aiming to serve as an ecological hub for efficient resource sharing and collaborative industrial growth. Concurrently, the “Global Energy Storage and Battery Council,” co‑initiated by the Asia-Pacific New Energy Industry Association and the European Energy Storage Industry Association, was established to create a high‑end platform that pools global expertise, driving project deployment and market expansion. Additionally, the “Global Energy Storage Multi‑Innovation Challenge,” jointly launched by Saudi International Power and Water Company, SNEC, and CBC, was formally inaugurated, encouraging innovators worldwide to explore new applications integrating energy storage and hydrogen technologies.
Technical Forums Bring Together World-Leading Expertise. Concurrent with the exhibition, the second International Summit on the New Ecosystem of “Source–Grid–Load–Storage–Hydrogen” for Next-Generation Power Systems and the second Investment & Financing and Sustainable Finance Summit for the Energy Storage and Hydrogen Industries were held, among other high-level forums. Zhu Gongshan, Chairman of the Global Green Energy Council, emphasized: “In the future, power generation cannot thrive without storage, the grid cannot remain stable without it, and electricity use cannot function effectively without it.” Zhang Tianren, Chairman of Tianneng Holding Group, noted that the 15th Five-Year Plan period will be a critical window for energy storage development, with installed capacity expected to grow nearly tenfold. Han Xiaoqi, Director of Safety at the Electric Power Planning & Design Institute, along with numerous other experts, delivered presentations on key topics such as energy storage safety, long-duration storage, and grid-forming energy storage.

The matchmaking event attracted a strong lineup of representatives from multiple countries, with clearly defined market needs. Participants reached consensus across various dimensions, including technology transfer, equipment supply, and project financing.
