Shanghai International Furniture Expo – China International Furniture FairProfile
The Shanghai International Furniture Expo—China International Furniture Fair (CIFF)—was founded in 1998. Since September 2015, it has been held annually in March at Guangzhou Pazhou and in September at Shanghai Hongqiao, effectively reaching China’s most dynamic Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta regions, showcasing the dual-city appeal of vibrant spring and bountiful autumn.
As consumers shift from “purchasing individual items” to “creating holistic living spaces,” sectors such as furniture, building materials, design, smart home technologies, and whole‑home solutions are accelerating their integration. This year’s exhibition will transcend traditional category boundaries, leveraging co‑location within the same halls to foster deep synergy among resources across the home‑furnishing industry. Original designs, sleep furniture, sofas and living‑room/family‑room furniture, office and commercial furniture, outdoor furnishings, decorative textiles, furniture manufacturing equipment, whole‑home solutions, health‑and‑wellness products, and more will be showcased together in a single venue.
As a core component of China International Furniture Fair (Shanghai), Design Source remains focused on original design and industry convergence. Over the years, it has evolved from simply exhibiting outstanding works into an essential platform connecting designers, brands, and industrial resources. Design Source will continue to center on “Design · Digital Intelligence · Sustainability,” exploring how design can translate into product value, brand equity, and market relevance through original design showcases, lifestyle presentations, and diverse design‑related events.
In the face of global market competition, Chinese home‑furnishing enterprises are transitioning from “product export” to “brand internationalization.” Brand globalization requires not only supply-chain advantages but also strong design expression, robust distribution channels, and the ability to connect with global resources. The Shanghai International Furniture Expo—China International Furniture Fair (CIFF)—continues to expand its international cooperation network, facilitating overseas roadshows, inviting global buyers, and promoting international media outreach to help companies access overseas market resources.
Since the beginning of this year, CIFF Shanghai has steadily advanced its global roadshow program for brand internationalization, penetrating markets in Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Europe, and beyond, precisely connecting with overseas distributors, purchasers, and brand agents. At the same time, through overseas social‑media management and industry‑research services, it provides additional support to help companies expand into international markets.
From manufacturing strengths to brand value, from one‑off exhibitions to long-term connections, the home‑furnishing industry is entering a new phase of development. The Shanghai International Furniture Expo—China International Furniture Fair (CIFF)—looks forward to collaborating with industry peers to explore further possibilities for the sector’s growth.
