SHOUGANG PARK

The "Xin Shougang High-end Industrial Comprehensive Service Area" (also known as: Shougang Park), located to the west of Yongding River and backed by Shijingshan Mountain, is the only contiguous area for development in the six urban districts. It marks the western starting point of the Chang'an Golden Axis and is an integral part of the Western Mountains and Yongding River Cultural Belt. It is also a crucial regional functional node in the new version of Beijing's urban master plan. The park boasts unique advantages in geographical location, spatial resources, historical and cultural background, and ecological environment, serving as a significant support for fulfilling the capital's functional positioning.

Shougang Park has been included in the national pilot program for the transformation of old industrial areas in urban districts, the national comprehensive reform pilot zone for service industries, the national sustainable development experimental zone, the Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone, the national pilot smart city, and the Beijing Green Ecological Demonstration Zone. It is the first C40 positive climate exemplar area in China. In 2016, the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Organizing Committee moved into the Xishi Cylinder Warehouse in Shougang Park, becoming the first client to settle in the park. In 2021, the China International Trade in Services Fair will be held at the National Convention Center and Shougang Park, with Shougang Park becoming one of the venues for the first time.

In terms of spatial construction, the Factory East Gate Plaza, Ski Jumping Platform, Desulfurization Workshop, High Line Park (Qunming Lake North Section, Green Axis West Section) have been put into use; the Shangri-La Power Plant Hotel, Oxygen Plant Area, May Day Theatre Milling Workshop, Jinan Bridge Integrated Project main structure has been topped out; construction of the first furnace has begun; the International Talent Community has started construction.

In terms of business attraction and operation, the park has connected with enterprises and institutions, followed up on key projects, and achieved the signing and landing of projects such as Danghong Qitian, Tencent Technology, Asia-Pacific Wenrong, and McDonald's flagship store. Tencent Content Group, Taishan Group, Winter Olympics Cloud Broadcasting, etc., have settled in the park; Extreme Park, Shang Beer House, Universal Reading Art Bookstore, Cha Gang'er, Meituan MAI SHOP, etc., have opened, Shougang Works Hotel, Show Pool Hotel are operating in order, and the Shangri-La Hotel will be operational in 2021, when it will become one of the official reception hotels for the Beijing Winter Olympics. Hosting events such as the Global New Year's Snow Festival, Artificial Intelligence Developer Conference, Chinese Science Fiction Conference, Beijing Fashion Week, Environmental Dance Festival, "E-sports Light", and Beijing New Year's Countdown, Shougang Park is not only becoming a global launch center but has also become a new favorite for tourists.
