Shanghai Infant and Child Food ExhibitionProfile

The China Baby & Maternity Food Expo (CBME) helps unlock the rapidly growing Chinese market for baby and maternity food products. Launched in 2001, it has become a globally recognized international event for the baby and maternity industry. Concurrently held are CBME Baby & Maternity Products, CBME Children’s Wear, and CBME Toys exhibitions, covering the entire value chain—from baby and maternity products and food to car seats and furniture, toys, apparel, children’s footwear, and accessories.

While achieving remarkable success in China, CBME has expanded into markets such as Turkey, India, and Singapore, striving to foster international exchange and trade cooperation within the global baby and maternity sector.

The audience of the China Baby & Maternity Food Expo (CBME) comprises domestic agents, wholesalers, and online distributors of baby and maternity products from across China; franchisees, retailers, and e‑commerce retailers nationwide; purchasing representatives from department stores, commercial real estate developers, hypermarkets, and pharmacies; wholesale and procurement delegations from major distribution hubs; investors interested in entering the baby and maternity market; as well as agents, buyers, and brand owners from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas.

Shanghai Infant and Child Food Exhibition tickets are e-tickets. Eight Reasons to Attend CBME China – the Global Expo for Maternity, Infant & Children’s Products:

  • The World’s Premier Platform for the Maternity, Infant & Children’s Industry: Since its inception in 2001, CBME has successfully held 24 editions, becoming the largest omni-channel trade platform for the maternity, infant and children’s sectors worldwide. The 2025 edition will bring together over 4,500 premium brands from 30 countries and regions, attracting more than 100,000 professional visitors across all product categories and the entire industry value chain, including maternal and infant products, nutrition and leisure foods, toys and educational items, children’s apparel and baby wear, strollers, car seats and furniture, as well as supply-chain solutions.
  • Comprehensive Coverage of the Entire Industry Value Chain: Exhibits span core categories such as maternal and infant food (infant formula, complementary foods, nutritional supplements, snacks), maternal and infant care products, children’s clothing and toys, strollers and car seats, while also encompassing packaging materials, OEM/ODM/raw materials, and other supply-chain segments—offering a one-stop view of the industry from upstream manufacturing to end‑consumer sales.
  • A Global Hub for Connecting International Resources: Delegations from 30 countries and regions—including North America, Japan, South Korea, Germany, Canada, and others—will gather to showcase high‑end offerings such as premium children’s apparel, oral care products, sleep‑management solutions, nutritional health products, and educational toys, providing businesses with an efficient pathway to access international resources and expand into global markets.
  • A Catalyst for Innovation and Incubation of Emerging Brands: Hall 4.1, the “New Forces Pavilion,” highlights innovative enterprises. Through CBME’s “Rising Stars Program” in collaboration with Nielsen, Tmall Global, Xiaohongshu, and other e‑commerce platforms, 160 cutting‑edge brands have been selected from nearly 400 applicants to present their latest offerings. The “Good Market New Arrivals” shopping zone and the “CBMEVISION Future Parenting Bureau” showcasing annual trendsetting products have become popular destinations for buyers seeking breakout hits and staying ahead of emerging trends.
  • Over 200 High‑Profile Forums Empowering Industry Leaders: More than 200 specialized conferences—covering topics such as cross‑border expansion, traffic growth, maternal and child health, nutritional innovation, and channel strategies—will take place, addressing over 200 critical issues. From forward‑looking insights to real‑world case studies, these forums provide comprehensive guidance to support strategic decision‑making.
  • Precision Matching of Buyers Across All Channels: With nearly 40 buyer segments—including distributors, boutique maternal and infant stores, postpartum care centers, and online KOLs/KOCs—over 100,000 professionals from across the industry will converge. Pre‑event “Maternal and Infant Top Chain Precision Matchmaking Sessions” and on‑site “CBME Omni‑Channel Product Sourcing Meetings” employ a 1‑on‑1 approach to ensure precise supply‑demand alignment. Meanwhile, the pioneering “Category Lunch Networking” initiative introduces a new scenario‑based social commerce model, drawing senior executives from top maternal and infant retail chains on the first day alone, facilitating efficient connections and securing multiple agreements.
  • Deep Supply‑Chain Integration and Empowerment: Over 800 leading supply‑chain companies—covering packaging materials, OEM/ODM/OBM services, raw materials, production equipment, design, and related services—will be showcased. Through dedicated zones like the “New Manufacturing Zone,” supply‑chain matchmaking events, and the CBME SUPPLY AWARDS ceremony, the exhibition fosters deep linkages with next‑generation maternal and infant production capabilities, driving supply‑chain optimization and upgrading across the industry.
  • A Super‑Sized Traffic Engine Fueling End‑to‑End Growth: In partnership with Douyin, Tmall, Xiaohongshu, and other platforms, over 2,000 official product‑selection hosts will conduct live broadcasts, while more than 20,000 influencers will stream their visits to the show, generating tremendous buzz. The “CBME 25th Anniversary Gala and Live‑Streaming Shopping Night” seamlessly integrates the anniversary celebration with large‑scale livestreamed sales, converting exhibition momentum into tangible commercial value. By emphasizing both “content power” and “grassroots seeding power,” the event serves as a core engine driving efficient B2B2C value‑chain operations.

Exhibition Review

From July 16 to 18, 2025, the 25th CBME International Baby & Child Expo successfully concluded at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). With the theme “Making Pregnancy and Parenting Better,” this edition brought together exhibitors from 30 countries and regions worldwide, showcasing a total of 2,578 exhibitors and 3,858 premium brands, attracting 102,568 professional buyers across all channels—marking a new high in both scale and influence.

Exhibits spanned the entire industry chain, covering maternal and infant products, nutritional foods for pregnant women and children, toys and educational items, children’s and infant apparel, strollers and car seats, as well as supply-chain solutions. Renowned domestic and international brands such as Shixi, Babycare, Pigeon, Decathlon, Toutu Mama, Bio‑O, Inne, Beingmate, Hengan Group, Whilton, Milu, Jianminsi, Runben, GNC Health & Wellness, and ChildLife were all present. The composition of professional buyers showed a clear trend toward younger demographics, with 59.6% being first-time attendees and 53.9% of buyers born in the 1990s and 2000s.

Hall 4.1, the “New Forces Theme Pavilion,” emerged as a hub for innovation. The “Rising Star Program,” in collaboration with Nielsen, Tmall Global, Xiaohongshu, and other platforms, selected 160 cutting-edge brands from nearly 400 applicants to showcase their offerings. Meanwhile, the “Good Market New Arrivals” shopping district and the “CBME VISION Future Parenting Bureau,” which highlighted the year’s top trend-setting products, became popular destinations for buyers seeking breakout hits and staying ahead of emerging trends.

The supply-chain exhibition area gathered over 800 high-quality enterprises, spanning packaging materials, OEM/ODM services, raw materials, and production equipment. Through initiatives such as the New Manufacturing Zone, Supply-Chain Matchmaking Sessions, and the CBME SUPPLY AWARDS, the event fostered deep connections among emerging forces driving productivity in the maternal and infant sector.

During the expo, more than 200 high-profile thematic conferences were held, addressing pressing topics such as cross-border expansion, traffic growth, postnatal care and childcare, nutritional innovation, and channel strategies. The released “2025 CBME Maternal and Infant Industry Trend Report” has become an essential resource for industry professionals seeking insights into future developments.

This year’s event drew agents, retail baby‑and‑child stores, postpartum care centers, online KOLs/KOCs, and other stakeholders, totaling nearly 40 categories and over 100,000 professional buyers across all channels. Prior to the show, the “Maternal and Infant Top Chain Precision Matching Session” and the on-site “CBME All‑Channel Product Matching Event” employed a one‑on‑one approach to achieve precise supply‑demand alignment, cumulatively facilitating 79,080 successful matches. Additionally, the “Category Lunch Meeting” pioneered a new model of “scenario‑based social commerce,” enabling efficient resource connectivity.

In partnership with Douyin, Tmall, Xiaohongshu, and other platforms, the expo organized over 2,000 official product‑selection livestreams, along with more than 20,000 influencer‑led exhibition‑visit livestreams, igniting widespread enthusiasm. The “CBME 25th Anniversary Gala and Live‑Stream Shopping Night” seamlessly blended celebratory festivities with live‑streamed sales, resulting in a total GMV increase of 94% compared to the same period last year.

This year’s exhibition actively embraces the principles of sustainable development, with 574 out of 765 custom-built booths meeting environmental standards, accounting for an impressive 75%. The event generated a total media reach of8.53 billion, while the CBME AWARDS recognized industry leaders, charting a new course for innovation and sustainable growth in the maternal, infant, and child care sectors.
