The Exhibition Value of CBME Shanghai
- CBME Shanghai, the world’s largest and most influential professional event for the pregnancy, infant, and children’s industries, has been successfully held for 25 editions since its inception in 2001. It is widely recognized within the industry as a leading indicator of trends in China’s pregnancy, infant, and children’s sector, as well as a strategic gateway for global brands seeking to enter the Asian market. Organized by Informa Markets, the show takes place annually at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. Leveraging Shanghai’s strategic position as an international consumption hub, it has become a central platform for connecting global resources across the toy and education supply chain, showcasing cutting-edge innovations, and shaping industry development trends.
- The core value of exhibiting lies in its comprehensive, end-to-end industry coverage and its unparalleled ability to connect exhibitors with global buyers. The exhibition spans the entire value chain, including toys, educational products, maternal and infant care items, children’s clothing and footwear, strollers and car seats, infant nutrition, and supply-chain solutions. The 2026 edition is expected to cover 300,000 square meters, bringing together 3,200 exhibitors and over 4,500 brands, and attracting more than 100,000 professional visitors. These attendees represent nearly 40 distinct buyer segments—agents, retailers, maternal and infant retail chains, e‑commerce platforms, KOLs/KOCs, overseas purchasers, and more—providing exhibitors with a strategic opportunity to engage directly with key decision-makers worldwide.
- The show serves as an international platform that links global markets, bringing together industry leaders and innovative forces. Renowned domestic and international brands such as Shixi, Babycare, Pigeon, PHILIPS AVENT, Mideer, and Huohua Siwei have participated year after year, showcasing a full spectrum of offerings—from STEAM toys and building blocks to puzzles, early‑education devices, learning machines, picture books, talking pens, and educational robots. In 2025, the event attracted over 4,500 brands from 30 countries and regions, setting a new record for exhibition scale.
- Keeping pace with three major industry trends—STEAM education, educational toys, and science‑based parenting—the show has established itself as a technological hub fostering deep integration among industry, academia, research, and application. A dedicated “New Forces Pavilion” highlights global product launches, while the “Rising Stars Program” selects and supports 160 emerging brands, in collaboration with Nielsen, Tmall Global, Xiaohongshu, and other platforms. During the exhibition, more than 200 high‑profile conferences are held, addressing pressing topics such as new‑product launches, cross‑border expansion, traffic growth, health‑care and childcare solutions, and nutritional innovation. In 2025, the show also pioneered the “Category Lunch Forum,” seamlessly integrating business networking into casual dining settings to enhance resource connectivity and value creation.
- By creating a super‑charged “traffic + exhibition” ecosystem, the show drives end‑to‑end growth through integrated online–offline engagement. In 2025, the event partnered with Douyin, Tmall, Xiaohongshu, and other platforms to organize over 2,000 official product‑selection livestreams, alongside 20,000 influencer‑led exhibition tours, generating widespread online buzz. Olympic champion Li Xiaoxia, parenting expert Cui Yutao, and other prominent guests made surprise appearances, turning exhibition booths into star‑studded meet‑and‑greets and significantly amplifying brand visibility. The highly anticipated “CBME 25th Anniversary Gala & Live‑Stream Shopping Night” further converted this momentum into tangible commercial value.
- For Chinese enterprises, CBME represents a strategic gateway for expanding both domestic and international markets, accessing global resources, and showcasing their innovative capabilities. Exhibitors can leverage this platform to connect with key global purchasing networks, seizing opportunities in the intelligent, branded, and globally oriented transformation of the toy and education sectors.

Exhibition Review
From July 16 to 18, 2025, the 25th CBME International Baby & Child Show was successfully held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. This year’s event, themed “A Better Us, Making Pregnancy and Parenting Even More Wonderful,” was organized by Informa Markets and has become the annual highlight of the maternal, infant, child, and toy‑education industries.
In terms of scale, the exhibition spanned a total area of 300,000 square meters, featuring eight major thematic pavilions. It attracted more than 4,500 premium brands from 30 countries and regions worldwide, covering the entire industry chain—from maternal and infant products, toys and educational items, children’s and baby apparel, strollers and car seats, to infant nutrition and supply‑chain solutions—and drew over 100,000 professional visitors on site.
This edition of the show boasted numerous highlights, with the New Forces Pavilion emerging as the centerpiece of the event. Located in Hall 4.1, the New Forces Pavilion, anchored by the theme “Empowering New Beginnings, Starting Anew,” served as both a global stage for premieres of cutting‑edge products and an incubator for accelerating innovative ventures. The “Rising Star Program” selected 160 emerging brands from nearly 400 applicants, collaborating with Nielsen, Tmall Global, Xiaohongshu, and other platforms to provide comprehensive support, ensuring that standout brands gain wider recognition. Meanwhile, the “New Arrivals Market” selection zone and the “CBMEVISION Future Parenting Bureau” curated high‑quality offerings aligned with the year’s key consumer trends, drawing exceptionally large crowds and becoming popular photo‑ops.
Complementary concurrent events further enriched the experience, establishing a high‑end platform for industry dialogue. During the exhibition, more than 200 high‑profile specialized sessions were held, including industry summits, category‑specific conferences, and supply‑chain forums, addressing over 200 critical topics such as cross‑border expansion, traffic growth, postpartum care and childcare, and nutritional innovation. The pre‑exhibition “2025 CBME Maternal, Infant & Child Industry Summit,” themed “Believing in the Power of Offline Rebound,” delved deeply into real‑world offline demand and pathways for sustainable growth.
An innovative business‑matching model ensured precise alignment between supply and demand. The show brought together nearly 40 categories of omnichannel professional buyers—agents, retail baby‑and‑mom stores, postpartum care centers, online KOLs/KOCs, and more—totaling over 100,000 attendees. From the pre‑show “Maternal & Infant Top Chain Precision Matching Session” to the on‑site “CBME Omnichannel Product‑Matching Event,” one‑on‑one interactions facilitated highly targeted connections. This year also introduced the groundbreaking “Category Lunch Sessions,” integrating business discussions into relaxed dining settings; on the first day alone, executives and key procurement leaders from top national maternal‑and‑baby retail chains attended, sealing multiple agreements and pioneering a new model of “scenario‑based social commerce.”
By creating a super‑traffic hub that seamlessly links online and offline channels, the event ignited unprecedented buzz. In collaboration with Douyin, Tmall, Xiaohongshu, and other platforms, the show organized over 2,000 official product‑selection livestreams featuring real‑world influencers, complemented by more than 20,000 influencer‑led exhibition tours, amplifying reach across the entire digital ecosystem. Olympic champion Li Xiaoxia (Dizhuosi), parenting expert Cui Yutao (Aoteli, Biweiya), and the nationally beloved emoji girl Huang He Wen Haon (Menglido Ri) made surprise appearances, turning exhibition booths into instant fan‑meetings. The specially staged “CBME 25th Anniversary Gala & Live‑Stream Shopping Night” fused the anniversary celebration with a large‑scale livestream shopping event, converting exhibition momentum into tangible commercial value.
The professional audience was exceptionally strong, underscoring the high quality of buyer resources. The show drew professional buyers and industry experts from around the globe, with well‑known brands such as Shixi, Babycare, Pigeon, Mideer, and HuoCha Si prominently featured. Exhibitors universally reported that the quality of the professional audience was outstanding, with clear purchasing intent and remarkable results from on‑site business matchmaking. Hiview noted it had secured hundreds of preliminary cooperation leads, fully showcasing its brand strength, while Manlong gained over a hundred new physical sales opportunities and overseas distribution channels.CBME is not only a premier platform for brand exposure and business matching but also a pivotal hub for gaining insights into global trends in maternal, infant, and child products, as well as toy‑related education, while exploring avenues for innovation and brand development.
