The Hangzhou Convention and Exhibition Center comprises eight pavilions and ten exhibition halls, capable of accommodating a wide range of events, including trade shows, sporting competitions, and concerts.

As the first landmark, flagship project in the Airport‑Adjacent Convention and Business District, the Hangzhou Convention and Exhibition Center is situated on the banks of the Qiantang River, just 3 kilometers from the airport as the crow flies and approximately 20 kilometers from downtown Hangzhou. It enjoys seamless connectivity with Hangzhou Metro Line 1 and the planned Line 11. The complex’s overall design draws inspiration from the “sail” motif along the Qiantang River, incorporating two quintessential Hangzhou symbols: the traditional folding fan and silk. Covering a total site area of 1,110 mu, with a gross floor area of 1.34 million square meters and a total investment exceeding RMB 20 billion, the facility boasts an indoor net exhibition space of 300,000 square meters and is being developed in two phases.

In Phase I, the eight pavilions are arranged in a fishbone pattern, providing versatile capacity to host trade shows, sporting events, annual conferences, concerts, and other large‑scale gatherings.

Located along the central axis, the “Urban Living Room”—a public space—integrates multiple critical functions, including retail, dining, communal corridors, facility management, and transportation links, serving as both the project’s transportation hub and its service center.

As part of Zhejiang Province’s “100‑1,000‑10,000” initiative and a key municipal project in Hangzhou, the Hangzhou Convention and Exhibition Center has been designed to meet next‑generation convention‑exhibition complex standards. It features a diversified mix of uses—including conference and exhibition facilities, sports and event venues, a luxury hotel, commercial services, and green office spaces—creating a distinctive, multifunctional public space for conventions, exhibitions, and business activities.
